Amherst Early Music

Table P-1

Amherst Early Music is the largest presenter of early music workshops in North America. We create learning opportunities for amateur and pre-professional students to study with leading musicians in the field of early music. In addition to online classes, we present the summer Amherst Early Music Festival at Union College in Schenectady, NY, the CityRecorder Workshop in New York, Spring Break Workshop in Washington, DC, and the Memorial Day Weekend Workshop in Litchfield CT.

Amherst Early Music publishes four player-friendly editions of music. The books lie flat on the music stand and the pieces have no page turns. The repertoire is accessible and playable for a number of different instruments, and is not available in other modern editions. All four are important musical sources that tell us a lot about historical practices at the time they were written or printed.

Stop by our booth to discover more about us. We are hoping to have a display copy of each of our publications. They can also be ordered here: https://www.amherstearlymusic.org/publications
