Nicolas Dumont, 1707 - French double harpsichord

John Phillips has been building harpsichords in Berkeley since 1975. With the assistance of skilled co-workers, the shop has produced some 135 new harpsichords and restored a dozen antiques.

Dominic Favia has worked for John Phillips Harpsichords since 2017. In his off hours, he has managed to make two instruments on his own.

On display this year:
⦁ French double harpsichord after François Blanchet, 1733
⦁ Venetian harpsichord after Dominicus Pisaurensis, 1566 by Dominic Favia
⦁ Flemish harpsichord after Ioannes Ruckers, 1635 by Dominic Favia.
