As a small, family-run business, Lazar’s Early Music is grateful for each of our customers and are committed to providing personalized service to meet each player’s unique needs. Choosing an instrument can and should be a very personal choice, an extension of the musician themselves. We hope to assist every player on their musical journey – whether they are selecting their first instrument or or adding to their collection.
Lazar’s Early Music was founded in 1994 when Bill Lazar left his career in molecular biology to pursue his true passion – Early Music. Bill started by selling Mollenhauer recorders out of his house and grew the company into what it is today.
Martin and Emily Shelton are proud to be the current face of Lazar’s Early Music. They met studying music in college, but they never thought their passion would lead them to such a unique opportunity in the world of Early Music. The rich legacy of historical music has been cherished through every generation. The Sheltons are excited to now be taking the torch and keeping the beauty and wonder of Early Music alive.
